Pa-Sticks Vacay 2019: Day 1 Part 1

Hello Fall Break!

On Sunday after church, we hit the road and headed to Gulf Shores. We have been to Orange Beach twice now, and we have driven into Gulf Shores for several restaurants and attractions. But this time around we are staying in Gulf Shores, and apparently at the other end of it. Orange Beach is like a 10 minute drive from one to the other, so I expected Gulf Shores to be the same. But we are about 20 minutes from most things so I guess it’s quite a bit longer? And unlike Orange Beach, this condo is like the only high rise in sight. It’s gorgeous and feels way less crowded. We are staying at the Beach Club.

Dustin and Michelle came down early and were able to grocery shop for us, and us and the Bostick’s got here late Sunday.

Here was our view this morning!

One of my favorite parts of a beach vacation is sitting on the balcony in the early morning drinking my coffee and reading.

The condo has lots of games (and of course we brought plenty more!), including Harry Potter Wizard Chess! I have absolutely no clue about chess, but Griffin actually does and beat me pretty quickly! Haha. Then Grady tried and it was quite the confusing game.

We headed to the beach this morning, and Griffin got started on his sand castle kingdom.

The waves were strong today! Dustin and Michelle tried just floating on the boogie board... it didn’t work :-)

There’s our condo...

Grady did much better with the ocean today. He enjoyed trying to run from the waves, and looking for shells. He still didn’t go out and swim though.

They got Grady to wave surf!

And he loved it!

We had a moat for the sand castle and it did pretty well for a second :-)

And they decided to try to build Big Red!

To be continued...
