My Little Bunny's School Hunt

Griffin had a class Egg Hunt on Thursday afternoon. Mr.Pate and I were both able to make it too! His teacher had made the kids cute bunny ears to wear and super cute bunny bags to put their eggs in.

Griffin loved both!

The hunt was in their schools cafeteria/multi purpose room. The kids had a blast!

Griffin preferred to take his time, pick up one egg and get it open before moving on!! Haha.

We are thankful for a school that always does fun stuff. Blessed beyond belief :-)

Park Fun!

A few weeks ago, we had a gorgeous Friday (Feels like a lifetime ago with the cold weather we are having now!) and some friends invited us to the park after daycare. We had a blast! Can't wait for warm weather to get here and stay here!

Elmo Obsessed!

My boy is just a tad Elmo obsessed. And to further feed the love, our friend Morgan and her son Eli brought us a big bag if Elmo's to cheer us up after surgery! Oh my oh my! We are having lots of Elmo parties around here...

Meal Plan Monda-I mean Wednesday!

Well it has been quite awhile, but I am trying to get back into the swing of things. I need some consistency in my life! haha! Here is what we are having around here this week:

  • Monday: Mini-Meatloves, Creamy Instant Mashed potatoes, and green beans (recipe below)
  • Tuesday: Burgers and Baked fries
  • Wednesday: Dinner at Church (Easter meal!)
  • Thursday: Chicken Teriyaki
  • Friday: Breakfast for Dinner
  • Saturday: Out
Mini-Meatloves

1 lb ground beef
1 box stuffing mix
2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp steak sauce
1 cup water

1. Preheat the oven to 375-400. Spray a muffin pan with nonstick spray.
2. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl.
3. Fill the muffin cups with the mixture and bake for 20-30 minutes, or until cooked thru and browned on top.
4. Serve with mashed potatoes and gravy for best results ;-)

Creamy Instant Mashed Potatoes

Just a tip or trick basically: Add 6-8 ox cream cheese and 1-2 tsp minced garlic to your instant mashed potatoes. Makes them AMAZING!

Just call us the Pate Family Daycare

Something else exciting happened last Friday... my friend Lindsay had a baby! Lindsay works with me, and her oldest son is 3 weeks older than Griffin. We got to experience our whole pregnancy together, and it was super helpful to have someone right there everyday who knew what you were going through. Anyhow, I digress...
Lindsay had baby boy #2 Friday, so we got to pick up Easton and Griffin had a sleepover for the first time! Griffin calls Easton "East" and it is so cute. The boys played great together, and they played hard. No one would ever have guessed that one of those two had just had a surgery!
Mr.Pate and I were so surprised and impressed with how great the boys were. No major fits, no getting mad or jealous of each other or anything. They even slept in the same room without any fuss or keeping each other from going to sleep (disclaimer: Griffin did wake screaming at 2 am and get brought into our room, but Easton didnt even flench! wow).

Saturday morning a friend from Griffins daycare also came to join in the fun for a few hours. Yep, we had 3 kids under 2 at our house. Haha! But again, the kids played great and really were great! Keeping up with them was exhausting, but fun. Yay for a crazy weekend! haha! Just call us the Pate Family Daycare. We are accepting applications for the Fall. Haha!
