Pandemic Chronicles: Week Three

Week Three: March 28th - April 4th

This week Mr.Pate started including "callbacks" into our online church sermons, and it has been such a fun addition. Since adults and kids alike are having to watch together, he gave us the challenge of yelling "WISE GUYS" every time he said the word wisdom. The kids and I had a blast with this, but they beat me in answering first more times. Ha! He also challenged us to create an obstacle course for our family and then blindfold them and take them through it, to see if they could listen and trust. Some of the time we yelled and tried to distract, just like the world does when we are trying to listen to the Lord. We had a lot of fun with this that afternoon!

We played outside most of the day, and Griffin hung out in his hammock and finished Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets!

The next day we had Mason with us again and the kiddos did their work. Then they headed outside to do some horticulture lessons :-) They dug this entire raised flower bed out! Hard workers.
And lest you think its all rainbows around here... there have been plenty of fits and crying as well, haha! Gotta keep it real!
Later that night, the boys got a fun surprise.... we got egged! This has been a fun part of the timing of this pandemic, all the surprise egging people got to do.

We hung out with our Connect Group that night also, which is always a fun time! Ha! Then after the kids went to bed I did a Zoom call with my College Besties! So much laughing people. I sure love those girls.

We did a rainy Wave Parade the next morning, and got donuts from Autumn! Grady had his first Zoom meeting with his class, and Ms Miller did a drop off. We got into a "For Sale" war with some neighbors, and watched Angels in the Outfield. Such a sweet movie!

As their prize for winning in the callbacks, Mr.Pate got the boys a pretty awesome pickleball set from FB Marketplace. We have had quite a bit of fun with it so far!

Grady decided to learn how to cut up strawberries and we made chocolate covered strawberries as a treat!

Then on Saturday, we Egged Mason & the Pitchfords, watched Harry Potter and played outside.
