First Trunk or Treat of the Season

Tonight, we did a trunk or treat at church with a local foster agency. It was a great event and I think all the kids had a blast!

Griffin got some candy then decided he would rather hand it out to the other kids! Love it!

Love the servant hearts of our Redeemer people!!

WKU Game Day Adventure

Today, our boys got to be “Big Red’s Little Rascals Tee Kids of the Game” at the WKU vs Army game!

It was such a blast. We had to be on the field at 5pm (kickoff was at 6pm), so we got to see all the pre-game activities. The kids got to hang out with Big Red, and challenged Big Red to a dance off!

The boys were one the big screen, got to say their names and “Go Tops” in the microphone, and Grady spiked the ball! Then once we kicked the ball off, Griffin got to run out and grab it.

The Black Daggers brought the game ball in as well as the flag via parachutes. Super cool to watch!

Overall it was so fun!

Pa-Sticks Vacay 2019: The Condo

Before we left today, I realized I had taken zero pictures of the condo we stayed in this time! So I decided to take some quick ones, even though it’s pretty messy because we were moved out and they were about to come wash all the linens etc.- so don’t hold that against it! Haha! I a gonna add some pictures from the listing so you get a better idea too.

We stayed in Gulf Shores at The Beach Club, in the Bristol Tower. It was definitely further down Gulf Shores than we had expected, and was about a 20 minute drive into the main restaurants and strip. Driving in Sunday we weren’t sure if we minded that or not, but it ended up not bothering us a bit and maybe being even better because it was less crowded!

So our condo is in the second building from the right. There are four condo buildings, with the clubhouse in the middle. Each tower has its own pool and hot tub, then the clubhouse has another pool and spa for additional fee. This is the Bristol Tower:

This is your view before we walk into the condo, it overlooks the bay on this side. Super pretty to walk out to.

View from the entrance into the condo. There is a bedroom to the left (Dustin and Michelle stayed in that one), a bedroom to the right (where we stayed), and a bathroom to the right that you can see.

Dustin and Michelle’s room:

It was pretty small, but the bed itself was nice and there was a dresser and closet for stuff. There was a full bathroom right across the hall for them.

Here was our room:

We ended up moving the twin beds next to each other, and fitting an air mattress on the floor also. Our room had an attached bathroom.

The kitchen was large, and had a great counter to eat at also.

The living room was a good size and we could all hangout there and the table no problem. I enjoyed the openness and it was cute :-)

The balcony and view were my favorite part. We were able to keep this door open most of the time so we could hear the waves.

Jen and Jason’s room:

The master was right off the living room, and had another door to the balcony. They ended up sleeping with that door open so they could hear the waves all night! The master bathroom was large and had a garden tub.

The people had lots of games (Harry Potter wizard chess!), and several beach things in the closet too.

It was a super nice place. The pool was large and had big steps of two sides, which is great for kids. There was tennis courts, volleyball nets, a playground, large lawn games, and awesome wooden swings overlooking the beach. Overall we really liked the resort and felt like it was a great fit for us! It didn’t feel crowded and was so affordable!
