Why I love this week!

Thats right- it's back!

• No work this week! Woo Hoo!
• Gingerbread houses with Becky, Jeanice and Cam on Monday. I could care less about the decorating part, but am pumped for the social part. 
• Tuesday is a big day for us- and we have planned a ton of stuff for it! 
• 12 week Dr. appointment with my new doctor (Dr.Gass) and Ultrasound!! So we are praying for fabulous news but I am praying more for trust in God's plan- whatever that may be. 
• Going on a movie date with Mr.Pate!! We NEVER go to the theater, so I cant wait! Thank you Meredith Page for your generous xmas present of movie money!! 
• Touring a local daycare. 
• Finishing up some xmas shopping!
• Hopefully get to see Karen sometime this week!
• Going to Louisville and Gallatin for Christmas to see family! Yay!!!!!!!!!

Weeks & Love...

Its about time for a life update isnt it??

• I didn't have to work on Monday! 
• Sunday we celebrated the 4th with Justin's family and my nieces with a pool party. It was fabulous. 
• Monday, Karen and Heath came to visit me! 
• Monday night my dog busted thru the screened in porch of our sweet 80 something year old neighbor to catch a baby possum (don't worry, he didn't kill it). It was pretty funny.
• Tuesday I went shopping (which hasn't happened in a long time) and bought a cute dress ( I know, who am I? I hate dresses), sporty swimsuit, and two shirts all real cheap at fabo TJ Maxx. What can I say, I'm just a maxxinista ; P ! 
• Wednesday we went out into our community inviting people to VBS. I got called "the church lady", yep as in "Michelle, get out here. The church lady is here to talk to you."
• Thursday our youth group went to the waterpark after I got off (half price after 4pm!), then to our house for a cookout and then we watch a movie in our backyard! It was awesome. 
• Friday my work had a Golf Tournament. So I got paid to sit around and play cards most of the day. Then I went to the lake with Mel, Heather & Elizabeth! It was soooo chill and relaxing. Love love loved it so much.... and Al Mohler was definitely sharing the same dock with us. He totally yelled at his son while we were sitting there...
• Things I loved about the Lake Trip: the sun, getting the 411 on labor from Eli, having yummy food that everyone helped cook except me (hehe), getting to eat outside in the gorgeous scenery, s'mores, talking about college memories mixed with current life happenings. 
• Saturday I went down to TN for a wedding shower, but I first stopped by my sisters for a second. So that was lovely to get to see my cute nieces and sis & brother for a sec. 
• Two of my friends from High School (or since Elementary school really) are getting married. So we had a "wedding shower" at a local restaurant and just hung out all night. It was sooo good to get to catch up with all of those friends. They are scattered all about and I miss them and I have not done a good job of keeping up with them. But Saturday was so comfortable and easy, I love friendships like that. 
• Sunday, Mr.Pate's job title was officially changed from Youth Pastor to Education & Discipleship Pastor! Yay! I am so excited really just because they are acknowledging how much work he does. He is an amazing pastor and the Lord has been using Him in some amazing ways at our church. 
• Also on Sunday, we found the bottom half of a rabbit in the workshop (which is Joey's room when we aren't home- it has a dog door to our back yard). I have no idea where the top half is but I am really hoping it is not in his belly... ewww so sorry rabbit. "He is not a tame lion dog. No but he is good".... oh wait this isn't Narnia is it?
• We finally hired someone at my work to be the Fitness Coordinator! We have been trying to fill this position for like 7 months and I am super excited to be done with it. The new person is great too, cant wait for her to start. 

Do you see why I have not been blogging much?? Somebody hit fast forward on my life and took the remote!!! Now on to this week:

• VBS at church! I am both excited and exhausted just thinking about it. I will be running the PreSchool program. Woo hoo.
• Holiday World on Saturday- holla! Amusement parks are one of my favorite things ever. And ones with water parks and free drinks are even better. Plus we are taking our youth- group discount of almost 50%! That is what i am talking about people. 
• I should probably have more- but VBS is pretty much consuming my life this week! 

Ok so whats up with you??????? 

Weeks & Love...

• I got to sleep in my own bed all week! Ha! 
• I had to purchase a new marketing camera for work, so I got paid to research cameras! Awesome! I learned alot about dslr camera's from it. 
• I was able to go to good ol Gallatin all day on Saturday, which was great. 
• I saw a not-so-fabulous-and-I-wish-I-hadn't-paid-for-it movie with a completely-fabulous-why-havent-we-hung-out-more friend. Then we had lunch (which was yummy) and sat and talked about everything under the sun. It was wonderful. 
• And THEN Livvi's B-Day party! It was super hot, so perfect weather for a pool party. She is such a fish. 
• After Livvi's party me, Mist, Ash, and my parents just sat around talking for a long time. It was such a great time. We never get to do that. I have been so blessed with a great family, even though they are kinda crazy too! hehe!
• On Sunday I had Youth Small Group (which was giggly) and then we had a Movie Night!! Yay! I love my youth girls, they are an exciting bunch. 
• Last night I got to watch my 2 fav summer shows: Design Star and Next Food Network Star! And Mr.Pate even watched with me. 

• My niece's are coming to stay this weekend! WooHoo!
• I am meeting with my dgroup again, finally! I have missed them.
• Pool Party on Saturday! I need me some time at the pool, I am tellin you. 
• I am actually cooking some meals at home this week! I am sick of eating out or camp food or randomness.

Weeks and Love...

Why I LOVED Last Week:

• Camp! I got to spend great quality time with the Lord & my youth! 
• The Lake! We went to a camp called Crossings @ Jonathan Creek, which is on a lake. So I got to swim (yay Summer!) and enjoy awesome views. 
• Fabulous worship services! I got to experience great praise music and hear some great challenges from our speaker at camp.
• Sheldon (the youngest of the Pate boys) graduated High School! Oh my goodness! He grew up sooo fast. I am so glad we got to go be a part of that experience. 
• I got in some good reading time.
• I got to use my new camera a bunch! And it took some great pics for me. 
• Dance parties- yep lots of them in the girls room at camp!
• Getting to visit one of our youth who is in the hospital. She is awesome and so much stronger than I am!
• Got to catch up on the phone with one of my best friends- it had been way too long! 

Why I LOVE this week:

• My bed! I was soo ready to sleep in it when I got back.
• Getting to be at home with Mr.Pate and Joey & Zoey! I missed our animal kids badly!
• My youngest niece's bday party is this weekend! Yay for family time!
• I am going to hangout with a great friend who I havent seen in FOREVER on Saturday! Woo Hoo!

Weeks & Love...

A few things I loved about last week:

• On Monday we had an impromptu fellowship time with some church members! I am such a planner so this was a nice change for me. We went to the tennis courts right by our house to see the last home tennis match for a few of our youth (the Stone girls). Then I came home and cooked dinner for the Pate boys. I had a huge craving for lava cake (thanks to not being able to have it at our planned girls weekend due to the funeral). So we up and decided to go get the ingredients and make lava cakes for us and the Stones. So they came over after the match and we hung out and chowed down. After they left a friend we have been distant with due to drama brought his new fiance by and we just talked and caught up. It was a lovely night of just being real with people. My house was a disaster, and I got zero of the things on my to do list for the night done. But it was the most productive night I have had in a while. 
• Friday was the graduation banquet for my department. It is a time for us to recognize the student workers and graduate assistants that are graduating and how thankful we are for them. It was a really great event and though I have only worked with these students for 7 months, even I was touched at the words said. It was really neat. We wont talk about the chocolate cake... (yes lava cake and chocolate cake in the same week... I told you I am a fat person at heart right??)
• Friday night we had the Winkler's over! (Yep in one week I do believe I met my goal of being social for the month... sorry I wont be able to hang out with anyone else for the rest of the month!) It was real laid back and chill, which I loved. She made a yummy hummus dip with pita bread and we watched Sherlock Holmes- which was kinda creepy during it but was good at the end. Plus she is with child and totally has a cute baby belly right now! I love baby bellies. 
• We had a work day at church on Saturday morning and actually got our childrens house organized to some degree! Woo Hoo!! 

Why I Love This Coming Week:

• Biggest Loser is soooooo good right now! I seriously can barely stand waiting between episodes. But this also means the end is near and I hate the summer break bc its forever!!! 
• Starting tomorrow, I get off at 4pm all summer!!! What What! I am thrilled!!!!!!!!! 
• We are doing interviews at work for a new fitness coordinator this week. I cant wait till we hire someone for this position bc right now all of us are having to cover the roll. And it will be fun to take their audition group fitness classes and get free lunch! Ha!
• We start our Youth Small groups back up this week! Yay!

"So, I struggle with the “Why I love this week” logo because I don’t always have tons of things planned to talk about. Maybe it is because I have a little one and so planning things is kind of hard. Or maybe it is because the things I don’t plan end up being my favorite. I don’t know, but if someone could make me a logo that says “Why I loved last week” that would be great."

But since I totally got the idea & logo for "Why I Love This Week" from Heather, I have no skills to make a cool logo. But if anyone else can help us out, let me know! 

"Why I Loved Last Week"

• I read two great books.
• The weather was gorgeous! We went to watch 2 tennis matches, and it was great to sit outside in the great weather and just chill.
• The Biggest Loser made me cry, alot. I am loving this season now.
• I got to see my family!! And sing karaoke! Woo Hoo! Ha.
• Mr.Pate and I ended up getting to have a lazy Saturday which included cinnamon rolls, buying some awesome chairs and reading the day away while he tinkered around in the workshop. Perfect. 
• I got my hair trimmed. I love a good hair cut! 

"Why I Love This Week"

• My girls are coming for a sleepover on Friday night!! Woo Hoo! It has been almost 3 months since our last get together, so I cant wait to chill with my ladies. 
• Last week most of my department was out at a conference, but they are back and that makes work much better! Yay!
• Its Derby Bunko this weekend! I have got to rig up one awesome derby hat and get ready. 
• I will see my WW group again! We didnt meet last week, and I love those people. We have the best group ever. Seriously.

Why I Love This Week!

• For the first time in weeks, I actually have several blog posts already written and scheduled for you lovely people! Get excited to hear from little ol me! Haha.
• Monday is my dear Jilli's bday! Jilli is my oldest niece and will be 11 years old!!! I can not believe it. She is just a fabulous little lady- super talented, very smart and sweet as a button. But she is growing up and I am totally not ready for that!!! 
• Saturday we are going to Gallatin ALL DAY! We are going to see my nieces play soccer (and I get to practice with my camera), and then it's Jilli's birthday party. Woo Hoo! I love my family. 
• My shows... Big Bang was super funny last week, except that I think they are breaking Penny and Leonard up. Not cool. And Biggest Loser is getting so good!!

Why I Love This Week!

Before I let you know what I am looking forward to this next week, I think I will share a few things from this last week...

It heated up around here and it was beautiful! Our heat is turned off and our windows are now open, which I love. I drove to Cave City to meet my friend Mel for dinner, and my oil light came on when I got there. After dinner I went to the gas station to check my oil, and I figured I would need to put 2 quarts in (ps. we have an old van wit lots of miles on it, so it burns & leaks oil like crazy). Well to make a longer story short- my van must have been BONE DRY. I had to put 4 quarts in... it only holds 4 & 1/2 quarts total! In the midst of this, my sister's school's Principle came by and decided I was a little girl who needed saving too. Interesting night. I also discovered this week that I should not host Pampered Chef parties, as I attempted to do on Saturday. I invited about 30-40 people total. Guess how many people came? 2. Yeah you read that right, 2! But we had fun nonetheless! (Thanks for coming Sarah!) Apparently I should only have catalog shows because I have plenty of orders, just no one wants to come hang out with me! Hehe! And Mr.Pate has dug up my entire back yard practically. Yep that about sums up my week... so on to what I am looking forward to this week.

• Spring weather! Grilling out, windows open, no jackets, and flip flops! 
• Hanging out with a friend before she and her husband head off to be missionaries! Wow! 
• I am running in my 3rd 5k this Sunday... I know, I am crazy. I let Becky talk me into it again, and now I have pulled the Pate boys in too! Haha! 
• Reading in my hammock! I did this today and it was wonderful. I am almost done with a book- yay for progress. 
• Date night Friday night!

Why I Love This Week!

• Starting the week with the laundry done (thanks Mr.Pate!), the food stocked (thanks also to Mr.Pate!) and the house cleaned! Woo Hoo! 
• We are supposed to have 70〫weather this week! Yay! I am soooo ready for Spring weather to be here and stay here. 
• This week I have lots of social events going on: dinner with the fabulous Melanie, a Pampered Chef party (let me know if you want to come anyone!), and a wedding reception. I am going to be peopled out by Sunday! ha!
• I got to start the week by seeing my amazing family! 
• Easter week- although I celebrate the Resurrection everyday, this week is a great time to corporately celebrate and remember how our Lord defeated sin once and for all! Thank you Lord for satisfying the punishment I couldnt satisfy myself.

Why I love this week!

• We have friends coming over for dinner on Tuesday, so I am looking forward to some quality time with them.
  
• Biggest Loser!
  
• Its Spring Break, so work will be slower. This is a good thing because I can get caught up on all the things I haven't gotten behind on! Yay!
  
• The Weather is gorgeous! I know rain is moving in but it was so pretty today!
  
• This weekend Mr.Pate and I are teaching at the Creative Ministries Festival, so that will hopefully be fun.
  
• This weekend is Daylight Savings Time!! YAY!! It won't get dark as late!

Why I Love This Week!

• Mr.Pate is only closing once this week!
• The Olympics are over, so my shows will come back on finally. I just didnt get into the Olympics this year, and I have sooo missed my shows! I mean the Biggest Loser has left us hanging for 2 weeks on who went home!!
• This weekend I am "running" or run/walking in my 2nd 5k. Wish me luck!
• I am actually starting the week with a clean house and the laundry done, which feels so lovely. The last few weeks I have just gotten behind.
• Spring is soo close I can smell it, and I am totally ready.

Why I Love This Week!

• I have an amazing new camera to play with!
• Mr.Pate and I are having some friends over for games. See I am working on the whole social thing!
• My dgroup is hopefully going to meet again- its been several weeks!
• This weekend I am throwing some dear friends a wedding shower. They are getting married in NY and then going to Italy for their Honeymoon.
• This week is our Weight Watchers @ WKU Open House. I am really hoping we get enough people to have another session! Anyone around the BG area wanna join??

Why I love this Week!

• I am starting the week with a super clean and organized house, that always makes me feel refreshed!
• It's the first full week of the 5 o'clock club for me and really I am starting to look forward to it everyday!
• It is looking like its going to be another girls week for me- On Thursday I am hanging out with Mya after what has seemed like an eternity, and on Saturday my girls are coming to bg (our last reunion got cancelled due to the snow)!! Yay!
• We totally ordered a DSLR camera and there is a slight possibility that we may get it this week... slight possibility!! I am so so excited! I have wanted one of these for what feels like forever. More on this purchase later. We rolled tons of change on Saturday to put towards this purchase, yep we rolled change. Thats how we roll around here...
• Just life, I am just excited for the normal schedule of life: youth, work, time with the hubby, fav shows, dgroup, etc.

Why I Love This Week!

• I will celebrate being married 4 years this week! Crazy! It's so strange, I kinda feel like its been way longer and at the same time I cant believe it has already been 4 years. Strange.
• Work will hopefully begin to slow down this week! Things were super busy during the month of January, but now that we have gotten past a couple of things it should slow down. I mean I dont want to be bored, but I dont want to stay late every night either! Ha!
• My dgroup is going through the bible study No Other Gods, and we will meet about it the first time this week. Does it sound familiar?? Love it.
• I already know I will get flack for this one, but I am super excited bc I finally found a budget tracking spreadsheet that works for us. So this week I am working on getting all our info plugged in so I can see how we are doing each month. Yes I am actually excited about tracking spending, I know I am weird... whatever.
• Did I mention I will celebrate being married 4 years on Thursday??

Why I Love This Week!

• Spring semester starts for WKU, which means students will be back! (Which I am both excited about and overwhelmed about haha)
• My dgroup will be starting back up on Tuesday! Yay for meeting!
• Thursday night is going to be another date night- oh yeah!
• Its going to be a girls weekend: Friday night is the reunion of darks, nat and I! And we are definitely cooking some pioneer woman food.. oh yeah! And Saturday some of the best women ever are heading to bg to hang out with me! Yay!! I can't wait!
• Really I am loving this week because I finally feel like I am back in the groove of things after the holidays, so I can just chill and enjoy time with mr.pate and our furry children.

Why I Love This Week!

• Four day work week!
• My dorks were just on (the Big Bang Theory) with a new episode & all new Biggest Loser tomorrow night! (I am rooting for white, green, & gray/silver)
• Mr.Pate and I are having a date night at home this week! Homemade pizza and some movies- I am pumped!
• No traveling or special event this weekend! Yay! I know that kinda sounds bad, but I feel like we havent had a free weekend since before the holidays.

Why I Love This Week!

• Big Bang Theory is back on this Monday! So excited to see my dorks again. You should really check the show out, it is so funny.
• Mr.Pate's Bday is Tuesday, along with his twin brother (duh), little brother, and his dad. Yep, they all have the same birthday. Crazy. So this weekend we are going to Louisville to "celebrate good times come on"!
• Tuesday night is the Starbucks Christmas party (yes, they are aware Christmas was like three weeks ago... ) at Mariah's! It will be fun to see all of these peps in something other than black and green and smelling like milk. Hehe!
• The Biggest Loser is new on Tuesday. I cried though the whole show last week. And the Winkler's are coming to watch with us! Yay for DVR.
• I have a new haircut and highlights, so I am excited to play with it! I haven't colored my hair in like five years, so it feels so exciting to look kinda different and not so blah!

Why I Love This Week!

• It's back to work I go, which I am actually looking forward to! I thrive with a built in schedule.
• I will be able to workout in my gym again! Yay! AMT here I come (my fav new cardio machine at Preston)!!
• I am working on my 2010 book list and goals... I love this kind of stuff.
• I am going to be trying out some of the fruits of my freezer cooking day labor... hope they are yummy!
• Biggest Loser is back with all new contestants!
• I am hopefully returning to my former self this week... if I can get an appointment. I will leave you to guess on this one...
• Youth Girls' Night on Saturday night! Yay!

Why I love This Week!

• No Work! Well at least no going to my actual "job"... there will be plenty of work to do around here!
• I will be sleeping in my own bed all week, not random places! After traveling for several days I am super pumped about this!
• Me and Mr.Pate are going t watch the Proposal on Monday night (I got it for Christmas!) and he hasn't seen it... it was so stinkin hilarious.
• I am going to attempt my first "freezer cooking" day this week... wish me luck!
• Hopefully I will have time to sit and reflect on the year and make goals for this next year... this is the plan at least ;)
• Youth Group on Wednesday- I feel like we haven't met in forever!
• Gingerbread house decorating on thursday morning with Beck, Cam, and Jeanice. I am pumped bc I miss this event every year, but not this year.
• My beautiful nieces are coming to stay Thursday thru Saturday!

Why I love This Week!

• This is my last week of work before a two week Christmas vacation! Yay!
• On Monday we are going to try shopping for our angel tree kids again. It feel through last Monday.
• One week closer to Christmas! (Which I am both excited about and sad about! It goes so quickly!)
• I am going to do some major wrapping this week.
• Wednesday night our youth are going to sing some original songs to our Church while wearing handmade puff paint Christmas shirts. I am pumped! Ha!
• Mr.Pate and I actually have some free time this weekend to chill together! I just dont know what we will do with ourselves!
