These are a few of my favorite things... iPhone edition

It is no secret that I love love love my iPhone. And I have now had it for 8 months! TIme flies when you are loving electronics, haha. Anyhow, I figured it was high time I share my favorite apps/things to do on my iPhone just in case you need a few more distractions in life.

1. Mail: I know-basic- but my favorite thing on my iPhone is having my email right there. My work on is setup to the general mailbox, so it alerts me every time I get a work email. Very helpful!
2. mailpro: My personal email is a Hotmail account. Because of the way hotmail is setup, it does not work with the iPhone mail app. So I had to get a special app for that mailbox. It is $1.99, but it works great and is very handy. 
3. Facebook app: This is a given. 
4. MobileRSS: This is an app for reading blogs on the iPhone or iPad. Love it!! At first I had the free version and it worked fine but had ads, then after I got some iTunes gift cards I decided it was worth the $2.99. If you love reading blogs as much as I do then you need this app (if you read in google reader already- this connects to your google reader setup... but if you love blogs why arent you using google reader?? it rocks!). 
5. BlogPress: This is an app that lets you write and publish blogger blog posts. It may work with a few other types of blogs, I am not sure, but I know it works fabulous with Blogger. It is $2.99 and worth every penny if you blog. I bought a $10 blog app at first (I figured it would be worth the money) and it sucks! This one is super easy to use and lets you upload pics soooo easily. The downfalls are that you cannot insert hyperlinks or categories and you cant schedule blog posts for later (at least I dont think you can- let me know if I am wrong). 
6. Words with Friends: I am sure everyone has heard all about this one. I had the free version for awhile, which wasnt too bad. But they run deals for $0.99 all the time, so I just upgraded one day and it is sooo much better without the ads! (Ps.I am currently in a losing funk!)
7. The Weather Channel: With our weather being so nuts in the past few months, I check this thing every morning when I get up. It is so much quicker than grabbing the laptop or turning on the tv. 
8. BabyBump: I have downloaded SEVERAL pregnancy apps, and this one is my favorite so far. It has a journal to track weight, waist size and symptoms. Then you can look at charts or even email yourself the journal, so if you want to save these things for a memory book there you have it. It also has a space to keep up with pictures of each week, a kick counter, contractions counter, birth announcement and week by week info on the pregnancy. 
9. What to Expect app: This is probably my 2nd fav pregnancy app. It gives you lots of info (prob more than you need). I like that it keeps track of the size etc. 
10. BB&T app: Online banking at my fingertip. Love it. 

Those are my top 10 things I use on my iPhone. If you see me playing on my phone, I am more than likely using numbers 1-6. So fellow iPhone users, what apps am I totally missing out on?? Do share!

Its time to let you know a few things that made my life a little more fabulous this week! Head to Emily's to see other fab things!

1. Pear Glace from Victoria's Secret

It was one of their first scents, and it is still rockin it strong! I love this smell. Its clean and yummy smelling. 

2. String Lights 

Mr.Pate recently convinced me to get string lights for our back patio area. I am sooo glad he did! He got them up this week and they are wonderful! First off, these babies give off a ton of light! Second off, they set such a wonderful mood out there. Third off, they look cool! 

3. Wilson & Fisher™Resin Adirondack Chairs

A few Fridays ago, Emily had this as one of her favs. Mr.Pate and I have really wanted some of these! So when I saw that Big Lots had them for only $15 ($20-$30 at other places I had looked) we were on it! Love them!

4. Frosted Shredded Wheat Cereal

My new favorite treat. Mr.Pate and Joey eat them as snacks with no milk (ick), but I love to let them get a little soggy first. Yummo! The Aldi's brand is super good. 

5. Merona® Elvera Demi-Wedge Sandals in Pewter

Mr.Pate picked these out the other day! Ha! They are actually pretty comfy and easy to walk in bc of the wedge. Dressy or casual. I like them. 

Happy 101

One of my Sarah's (yes I have two... in my dgroup... but come to think of it, i sure do have alot of sarah's period in my life...), challenged me to write 10 things that make me happy. Being more inclined to be sarcastic and dry (read: a negative jerk), I think it is always a good idea for me to identify positive things in my life. Maybe you need to do the same today??

1. Mr.Pate.... his humor (he is so stinkin hilarious), his manliness, his logical mind (i could go on and on...)
2. My Sister... She's a mix between my best-friend and 2nd mom. She is crazy (dont tell her I said that! haha), super talented, and way more outgoing than me. But I sure do love her and she sure can make me happy. [Misty: "HEEELLP! HEEELLP!" Automated Phone Message Lady: "I am sorry, I do not understand that command." BAHHHAAA!]
3. Denise... My Mother. Now, you wanna talk about a crazy lady! Haha, my mom is a hoot. She is so supportive and loving. Oh and she is a technological airhead, so thats always amusing. 
4. My Nieces- Jilli and Livvi... Joys of my heart! Could there be two sisters that are more different?? They each have such amazing personalities and did I mention they are freakin beautiful?? These two make me super happy just thinking about them. 
5. My Daddy.... I have such a fun time giving him a hard way to go about anything I can! Poor man- stuck with nothing but women all of his life! Haha! 
6. The rest of my Family... ok I am realizing I cant put everyone individually so I will just say all the rest! Ha! Dustin & Sheldon are two of my fav people to hang out with... we always end up laughing about the dumbest things! (Did he say...) All of our extended fams on boths sides. Justin's Dad and Mom & Gma, they all make me feel happy and accepted and loved. 
7. My BFF's... I love my girltime! Kristen, Karen, Amanda, Duke, Mel, Jamie, Elizabeth, Kristi and Nat, you guys make me extremely happy in life. 
8. My home.... Did you know I am a homebody? I love my home and it makes me so happy to be at home chillin with...
9. Joey and Zoey!... my dear fur children bring mr.pate and I joy all day long! I watched Homeward Bound while working out the other day (I dont recommend it, I was crying on a treadmill which I am sure is dangerous or at the least looks compeltely stupid) and just wanted to squeeze my babies right then and there! They are such great animals... even if they do rule this place. 
10. Chocolate... Seriously, eating chocolate just makes me happy. I love the taste... now if only someone would make some calorie free....

Fab 5 Friday- Sharing 5 things that make your life just a little more fabulous. Rules: Has to be a real thing, not an emotion or person, etc. 

1. My Coffee Maker: It is the beginning of my day every morning. It completes me. Haha! Love it.

2. My Bed: We have the most comfortable mattress ever, seriously. And usually we have "fam" time on the bed, which consists of me and mr.pate playing with joey on the bed, when we get home each day. Love it!

3. Spinach Artichoke Dip: We have a caterer at our church, and she makes the best Spinach Artichoke dip! This week we helped her cater and I ate my weight in this dip (and no, I didnt count points that day... I get a big FAIL on that). Unfortunately she is one of those people who doesnt use recipes, so she says she cant really tell me how to do it myself... maybe thats a good thing?

4. My MacBook: I am really too in love with my little macbook, but whats a girl to do? It was this week last year that I ordered mr.pate & I's macbooks, and I have never regretted this purchase for a sec. I love not having virus software junk going on but still feeling safe to surf the net. I love that I dont have to wait on my slow as Christmas Dell anymore (though it served me well during its 4 year service). And I just love the layout of a mac. 

5. Bumble & Bumble Hair Thickening Spray: This is a total splurge product for me, and I usually never use any hair products (I dont even own hair spray), but this product is awesome! It gives my way-too-straight-and-flat-hair some lift and volume. I love it.
