--- The kid has another ear infection (opposite ear from last week). Oh boy! This means we are still not getting any sleep around these parts. That's how it goes with little ones I know, but knowing that doesn't make it any easier on the body.
--- I have been going to bed at 7:30 or 8 most nights this year. Yay 2013! Ha! Serious this year is just not starting out awesome for me.
--- I am trying to watch The Biggest Loser again this season. I used to be a committed fan. I think I quit when Jillian left maybe, not really bc she left, but kinda funny bc this is her first season back. I have only made it thru the first episode due to the early bedtime and sheer exhaustion. Anyone else watching?
--- I heard that the CW has just started a series called "The Carrie Diaries" which is a prequel to Sex and the City. It shows Carrie in high school. Interesting. Anyone watching that? If so, how is it?
--- In between late night cry-fests, my kid really has been adorable lately. We have had an awesome time running around the house, tackling and tickling. He has the best laugh ever. This age is super fun.
--- This age is also bringing lots of "No's!" And "Move's" from little mister independent. Not a fan.
--- I am typing this from my van. The kid is sleeping and he needs sleep sooooo badly that I am not chancing him waking up by moving him. So we have been sitting in my driveway for quite awhile. I am about to take a nap too. This is motherhood in the trenches. You do what you have to in order to survive.
--- In relation to the last point, I am sooo thankful for modern technology at moments like this. I have been able to send some work emails, read a Devo and blog during this nap. Yay.
--- Did I ever post that my thyroid is all jacked up again (or thyroid levels I should say, seeing as how I don't have an actual thyroid)? Found that out right before Christmas. Yay. The saga continues. Time to get back on track and get this weight off. Again. My life really is on repeat in so many ways.
--- Speaking of Weight, we are about to kick off another round of our Weight Loss Challenge at "work". It is for anyone, not just my work, and is very low key. Last semester we all gave $15, weighed in at my office once a week (public can come there too), did measurements twice, and then the biggest loser won $ and so did a random drawing. Justin actually won! It was just to give us some motivation. If your interested and would be able to come to Preston to weigh in every week or every other week, let me know.
--- Our building at church is almost done! It will be soo strange (but so nice) to be under one roof. This have never once been the case since we have been at Smiths Grove. Pray for our church family as we get to the harder parts of the process (decorating, ordering furniture etc). Lots of opinions and things are so expensive.
--- Promise the playroom is almost done and will be posted soon. We are sooo loving having an organized space to play and hangout.
--- Alright Teen Mom fans, are Maci and Ryan back together or no? I keep randomly reading that but I can't tell if its random gossip or truth?
That's all the randomness I have for today. Pray my kid gets better. Seriously. I need sleep, he needs sleep, and Justin needs sleep. I am thankful for grace during these rough nights. It's so easy to take frustration out on your spouse- they are the only ones there (to be fair, I have yelled at Joey quite a bit too).
What's up with you this Wednesday?

What's Happening Wednesdays
Back to the daily grind today, blah! I know I am not supposed to complain because I have a great job and got way more time off than most etc etc. And I am sooo grateful and blessed. But that doesn't make getting back to the grind any easier. Anyhow, here is what's happening around these parts:
- We turned the kid forward facing! Lately he has been locking his legs against the backseat and making it very difficult to put him in rear facing. Then he is just angry bc you have to body slam him into the seat. So we flipped the boy around last night. He giggled and laughed the whole ride! Ha! He was so amused at the new deal.
- He runs around now saying "I gooottt it" which is precious. Growing up too fast.
- Our house is kinda in shambles. We are turning the sunroom into a playroom, or at least a large part of it. So that's in the works. And kinda with that we are cleaning out our pantry/random storage room which has just become the dumping ground for everything! Our decoration are still up and I am just not sure when they are coming down. Whatever. I love my tree anyhow :-)
- We actually stayed up until midnight this New Years! Pretty rare around here. I am still paying for it- soooo tired!
- Tonight was our last night in our youth house ever. They will soon be tearing it down in the last steps of our building process. Wow. It is pretty gross and I am still amazed it has withstood all that it has! But it has been a total blessing and gift of ministry too. I have such wonderful memories of bible studies, crazy games, and awesome conversations that have taken place there.
- We are very close to being done with said building project! Praise the Lord ! All being under the same roof? That's cray cray!! Hahaha (and that's just for you Mr.Pate)
- I am so sad the Holidays are over for several reasons, but a big one is they help you be so much more intentional in family time and fun activities.
- Seriously thinking about cutting bangs like Zooey Deschanel. What do you think? I know I did bangs last year, but they weren't as thick and I think that's what I didn't like. Should I go for it???
On a more serious note of what is happening, my grandmother (Memaw) is very sick. She has been in the hospital for weeks now, and they called hospice in tonight. She thankfully had already made big decisions on what steps she wanted taken if she got this bad, which helps my mom and her siblings tremendously. So at this point we have to respect her wishes and just keep her as comfortable as we can until it is time to say goodbye. This could be very soon or a few weeks. The Lord has a plan. I will write a whole post on this soon, bc Memaw is quite the lady and I could fill a book describing her to you guys! Ha! Just pray for my family during this tough tough season. Especially my mom and her siblings, as it is just so hard to lose a parent.
Well that's what's happening here. What do you have going on?
