33 Weeks and Counting...

  • How far along: 33 Weeks
  • Total Weight Gained: 28 lbs (started 107, currently 135), down 2 lbs this week
  • Maternity Clothes: Totally rockin majority maternity clothes.
  • Sleep: Ugh... whatever
  • Best Moment of the Week:  My Baby Showers and getting to come home and go through the stuff with Mr.Pate. We both get so excited!
  • Movement: All the time. Mostly the bulges!
  • Food Cravings: Taco meat with chips.
  • Food Aversions: N/A
  • Symptoms: Huffing and Puffing, its really hard to bend over, have to pee constantly, cant roll over in bed, cant sit for longer periods of time ...
  • What I miss: Breathing and sleeping well!
  • What I'm looking forward to: Starting on the nursery THIS WEEK! Getting organized and more prepared! And my church shower this weekend.
  • Other news: Our house is completely taken over with baby stuff now (I know I should get used to it), and by that I mean we have a large crib completely setup sitting in the middle of our living room and stacks of baby stuff everywhere! Ha! I am ready to get stuff put in its own place. Having the showers was sooo fun! I got to see fabulous friends and got such great stuff too! I cant believe we are at 33 weeks... wow.
  • Gender & Name: It's a Boy! Griffin Alan Pate

Milestones:
According to Babycenter.com : This week your baby weighs a little over 4 pounds (heft a pineapple) and has passed the 17-inch mark. He's rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look and his skeleton is hardening. The bones in his skull aren't fused together, which allows them to move and slightly overlap, thus making it easier for him to fit through the birth canal. (The pressure on the head during birth is so intense that many babies are born with a conehead-like appearance.) These bones don't entirely fuse until early adulthood, so they can grow as his brain and other tissue expands during infancy and childhood.
